Your exciting program begins with a visit to the small “Amazonian” jungle of Tortuguero and the pristine Caribbean beaches that will charm you with their Calypso rhythm and exotic food.
Followed by the picturesque landscapes of the plains and mountains of the Northern Zone and its imposing Arenal volcano with its relaxing hot springs. Our next stop would be the Pacific Coast where you can discover and enjoy the best sunsets, beaches, landscapes and traditional vibe.
From Tamarindo we move to the cloud forest now in Monteverde to continue later on towards Manuel Antonio in the Central Pacific coast, the grand final of this adventure takes place in the exuberant region of Drake Bay in the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado National Park, with the greatest biodiversity in the country.
SAN JOSÉ
Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport. Pick up at the airport in a shared tourist transfer that will take you to the city of San José, our capital, where you will stay for 1 night, in a standard room, breakfasts included.
San José, the capital of Costa Rica, offers many different attractions, although most tourists generally visit it only as a connection point. The Central Valley is where the majority of Costa Ricans live, it includes the provinces of Cartago, Alajuela, Heredia and San José that are guarded by a ring of mountains and volcanoes.
TORTUGUERO
Tortuguero National Park is located in the northeastern part of the territory. It is one of Costa Rica’s natural signatures because it is world renowned for protecting the most important nesting beach for green turtles in the Western Hemisphere.
After breakfast, a hotel guide from Tortuguero will pick you up at your staying in San Jose. The drive includes passing through the tunnel along Route 32 and crossing the imposing mountains that formed the Braulio Carrillo National Park.
We will make a strategic stop, at approximately 8 a.m., at the Rio Danta Restaurant located in Guápiles to use the restrooms and have a snack. From there, our adventure continues to: La Pavona pier in Guápiles, or if necessary due to weather conditions, the Caño Blanco pier in Siquirres (La Pavona is our main port of operation).
At 11 a.m. arrival at the pier, where you will have a chance to purchase soft drinks or a snack and use the restroom. Afterwards we will board the boat from the Lodge, for a trip of approximately one hour to Tortuguero (depending on the water levels, the time may vary). The first part of the tour is carried out by La Suerte River and later by the Tortuguero River and through the canals.
Arrival at the Lodge, where you will be welcomed by the hotel’s manager, and the continue to do the registration. Accommodation for 2 nights, 1 Standard room, full board.
Once you are all settled, proceed to meet your guide and group for lunch at the restaurant by the pool area (lunch is served from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM).
The afternoon comes with a fantastic opportunity to explore the cute little town of Tortuguero on your own. Through this visit, learn more about this small community of approximately 350 families, their life style and their activities. This is a great spot to purchase unique souvenirs made by the local artisans.
Is Dinner time! We meet again at the restaurant for souper. Buffet style from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
TORTUGUERO
Nothing like starting your day immersed in an exotic jungle and with an amazing breakfast! Available from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
This morning, (the schedule will be previously confirmed by your guide, usually around 9:30 am), you will take a walk through the hotel gardens to learn more about the plants of the tropical forest.
We meet for lunch at the restaurant.
(At the time previously indicated by your guide) We meet for the boat excursion through the Tortuguero National Park canals. Entrance to the park ($15 + 13% tax,) included. As you travel the canals, discover the unique biodiversity that makes this experience so unique. We recommend that you bring your poncho and raincoat (it can rain at any time in the Rain Forest even when is looking sunny). We will return at approximately 4:15 p.m. for free time before dinner at 7:30 p.m.
The activities are organized directly at the hotel and the guide will inform you of the specific times.
PUERTO VIEJO
Breakfast at the Lodge at approximately 8:30 a.m. We will meet at the reception area for check-out at 9:00 am. Then back to the pier.
Arrival at the dock, take advantage of the restrooms and convenience stores, before boarding the bus that will take you to Guápiles.
There is a stop at the local restaurant for lunch. After a delicious lunch, the trip continues in a shared tourist transfer to the beautiful area of the southern Caribbean in Puerto Viejo, where you will stay the next 2 nights, 3 days in a hotel, standard room, with breakfasts included.
Puerto Viejo is authentic, unique, simply beautiful. This is an area so rich in nature, culture and gastronomy which makes it a dream destination.
Sun, the traditional “rice & beans”, calypso music and a beautiful beach that seems straight out of a postcard, is what awaits you in this Caribbean jewel, Puerto Viejo provides the essential ingredients to experience the true Pura Vida!

Cahuita National Park is known for having the best-preserved coral reef in the Costa Rican Caribbean area. In simple words, white sand beaches, turquoise water, diverse marine life, a Caribbean paradise!
Gandoca-Manzanillo is located in the southeast of the Caribbean coast, between the mouths of the Cocles and Sixaola rivers. Both the land and the sea are so diverse that they support a wide variety of species of trees, monkeys, amphibians and reptiles. The Gandoca mangroves are extremely important for aquatic bird species, for the reproduction and survival of manatees and tarpon.

About the tour:
This river gives you a combination of a beautiful natural landscape combined with a huge adrenaline rush. The Pacuare River is one of the most beautiful rivers in the world. A river with green waters, waterfalls, surrounded by many colors and tropical birds that fly over your head. Wildlife is exuberant with sloths, toucans, parrots, coatis, butterflies, and a variety of colorful frogs. The Pacuare River has the most exciting rapids in the country, which makes this tour truly remarkable.
During the descent we will make a very essential stop for a buffet-style lunch. The tour finishes at the Exploration Center which is totally private and where you can take a nice shower. Afterwards, relax for a little bit while enjoying a cold refreshing drink, and taking a look at the photos of the amazing experience you just had. In the mean time we will take care of the details to continue with a shared transfer back to your hotel in the Arenal region.

Breakfast included. Today you will leave the beautiful area of La Fortuna to travel towards the north Pacific Coast, specifically to Tamarindo, where you will stay in 1 standard room for 2 nights with breakfast included.
Tamarindo is a very popular beach town, known of course for its beautiful beach, surfing, location (only one hour from Daniel Oduber International Airport) and its nightlife. Tamarindo has a wide and excellent offer in restaurants and hotels. This beach gem is surrounded by green mountains and everything you can imagine that you dream of doing at the beach.
Tamarindo is a surf town, so if you are considering learning, this is a great place to do it! Once you become an advanced surfer, you can explore more challenging beaches like Playa Grande to the north or Playa Avellanas, Langosta y Negra to the south. If surfing is not your thing, there are many more activities, such as exploring the area on an ATV, zip lining or perhaps a river boat tour, but the highlight is definitely a catamaran tour from which you can witness a magnificent romantic sunset.

MONTEVERDE
Time to discover the mysterious region of Monteverde. After breakfast, you will depart in a shared tourist transfer to the cloud forest, where you will stay in 1 standard room for 2 nights with breakfast included.
The Monteverde area of Costa Rica is world famous for its cloud forest. There are now two Reserves, the original Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the new Santa Elena Rain Forest.
Here, you will experience the mysterious climate of the cloud forest, walking the paths among the magnificent trees laden with epiphytes. This is a great spot for birdwatchers, more than 450 species of birds have been discovered in the area; native birds are joined at certain times of the year by those that migrate from North America.
Many come hoping to see the magnificent resplendent quetzals, which feed at various locations in the area. Monteverde is the perfect combination of nature and tranquility, absorb the green surrounding you, listen to the sound of the wind, the whispers of the forest that at times carry the “bong” of the bellbirds.

Breakfasts. Today you will enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna of the Corcovado National Park where you will enter the San Pedrillo Station.
San Pedrillo is the closest Corcovado National Park ranger station to Drake Bay, is located a 1 hour and 30 minutes, by boat from Drake Bay. This beautiful area offers possible sightings of dolphins and other marine and aquatic marine life, passing through an island nesting ground for the brown booby. Our arrival at the Corcovado National Park beach location is a wet landing, so bring your sandals plus sturdier footwear for the trails through the National Park. Our bilingual naturalist guide will lead a 3-hour walk through the primary and secondary forest, locating and explaining the extensive flora and fauna of the rainforest and the rich biological diversity of the Corcovado National Park which houses 6% of the world’s biodiversity.
The Park has an extension of almost 55 thousand hectares of land and 2400 of sea. It is home to 500 species of trees, which is just amazing. Part of the upper canopy reaches up to 70 meters in height.
This authentic jungle experience, with the thick lianas and pods hanging from the trees, the scarlet macaws flying overhead, the rippling water of forest streams, the armies of moving insects, the singing of birds, the howler monkeys with their strident barking promises to captivate all your senses.
