In Tortuguero you will stay at Manatus Hotel which offers all the facilities and amenities to make of your experience, one of a kind. Finish your romantic trip with 3 nights at the exclusive Le Camaleon Resort located within the beautiful Puerto Viejo Beach and one night at the cozy Grano de Oro Hotel in San Jose.

LE CAMELEON

Day 1

Upon arrival at the airport Juan Santa Maria, you will be picked up by our private guide transportation to go to Rainforest Aereal Tram at the Braulio Carrillo National Park , where you will be staying for 2 days at the hotel bungalows, they are cozy and inviting; built over a stone base with wood, floors and a balcony. They offer unforgettable views of the forest, the mountains and the stars.

As an added bonus, you may be delighted by a surprised visit from a Blue Morph butterfly, the scent of wild orchids or the call of a rare bird.

The slow-paced Sky Tram gondolas soar smoothly through the rainforest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent. Accompanied by a bilingual guide, tour takers will have the ability to stop the tram at any point, a feature that allows for magnificent, one-of-a-kind photographs to be captured and tropical birds to be spotted. We share with our guests all the different layers of the rainforest, from the floor to the treetops is home to an enormous amount of flora and fauna. Eager to find light and space, many plants have colonized the treetops, turning them into small, independently functioning ecosystems.

Day 2

Tortuguero Manatus Hotel

The hotel Manatus services include the comfort and luxury of the accommodations and facilities, a delicious restaurant with an international and gourmet cuisine offering Caribbean fusion food, the relaxing services of our Spa, a gym and the excitement of a variety of adventure tours, all a few steps from the worldwide famous Tortuguero National Park.

A guide will meet you at the Rainforest Aerial Tram and will drive you to a local restaurant in Guapiles, where you will enjoy a typical breakfast . Continue the trip to the Caño Blanco Dock or la Pavona Dock where you take a boat to the Canals of Tortuguero. You are going to stay for 2 nights at the beautiful hotel Manatus, all meals are included.

The Manutus Hotel offers you a unique combination in the area: the comfort and luxury of our rooms and facilities, a restaurant with an international and delicious gourmet cuisine offering Caribbean –Costa Rican fusion cuisine.

This day around 3:00 pm you are going to visit the Tortuguero Town and the Caribbean Conservation Corporation’s visitor center and turtle museum (about 2 hours).

Day 3

TORTUGUERO/ TOUR CANALS AND TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK

CANALES TORTUGUEROYour day starts with a rich Breakfast at the Hotel’s Restaurant around 7:00 a.m to 8:30 a.m. After that, follow the tours of the day. From 8.30 a.m. to 10:30 and from 2:30 p.m to 4:30 a.m. you can participate at the Canals Tour to Tortuguero National Park. The rest of the day you can enjoy the hotels’ facilities or participate in other tours offered. Lunch and dinner are provided in the hotels restaurant.

DAY 4:

PUERTO VIEJO/ EL CAMELEON

 

LE CAMELEONAfter enjoying a delicious breakfast, you will start the boat trip back to Guapiles . Here you will have lunch and will continue the trip to the South Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. Lodging will be offered at the exclusive Le Cameleon Hotel.

Le Caméléon Boutique Resort is located on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast within the tropical forest of Puerto Viejo, Limón. With its laid back attitude and Caribbean lifestyle, Puerto Viejo has it all: long walks on the pristine beaches, exotic flora and fauna in a wildlife refuge, snorkeling or diving among the many reefs in crystal clear waters, world-class surfing, mountain biking, kayaking and cultural visits to indigenous communities creating a natural and soothing ambiance. Cocles Beach, with its beautiful golden sands, is within walking distance from the resort.

DAY 5:

CAHUITA/ TOUR NATIONAL PARK AND SNORKELING

Breakfast included at the hotels’ restaurant. Following the breakfast you participate at the offered tour to the Cahuita National Park and Snorkeling tour.

Snorkeling Tour

You will visit the many unique marine and terrestrial ecosystems of Cahuita National Park; its one of the most beautiful regions of the country. Its main attraction is a picture postcard reality of white sandy beaches; thousands of swaying palm trees, a calm sea of crystal-clear water and a live coral reef. In a glass fiber boat, plus Capitan and guide, you will be able to appreciate: 35 different coral species such as: The fire coral, Elkhorn and the Smooth brain coral; 123 different species of tropical fish such as: Queen Angelfish and Blue parrot fish; 44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish, 128 identified algae. Other species such as: sea urchins, sea cucumber, lobsters, sponges, hawksbill turtle and green turtle. You can practice the snorkeling for 2 or 3 hours, in different places of the most important Coral Reef of Costa Rica.

After the snorkeling, the boats Capitan will take you to Cahuita Point. Right there, if you want to, you can swim in the peaceful and warm waters of the Caribbean Sea while you take a refreshment of tropical fruits.

PARQUE NACIONAL CAHUITA
Hiking

In this tour there is also the option to enjoy the diversity of the forest on a hike in the Park where you will see many different species of flora and fauna, such as: Howler monkeys, White-faced monkey, Two-and Three-toed sloth, iguanas, spiders, Morpho butterflies, birds, snakes and much more. Cahuita has a mixed forest with a lot of different kinds of trees and medicinal plants such as: Noni, the wonder fruit, which prevents 89 different kinds of illnesses.

The guide will make a hike through the trail of the National Park, showing you the animals and the medicinal plants, and telling you the interesting history of Cahuita Town.

At the end the guide will take you to the restaurant El Tapico Cahuita to enjoy a delicious Caribbean Lunch. Rice & Beans, chicken or fish with coconut sauce, green salad, sweet plantain, dessert and juice.

Necessary Equipment: Hat or cap, sun blocker, insect repellent, sneakers or sandals, bathing suit, towel, sun glasses and camera.

Round trip transportation, bilingual guide, Capitan, 2 or 3 hours of Snorkeling, equipment, fresh tropical fruits snack, bottle of water, 2 and half hour of hiking, lunch. All of our clients are protected with policy No. 75-00 of Civil Responsibility. Note: The National Park Cahuita, do not charge any entrances to the park. It is desirable that you register and give a little money donations.

DAY 6:

PUERTO VIEJO/ EL CAMELEON

Breakfast included. Today you get the day free to enjoy the beautiful area of Puerto Viejo and its beaches, as well as you get the possibility to participate in tours which are available in the zone

At Le Caméléon every day is a new day. The light effects inside the rooms and around the hotel, will change colors every day, creating a special atmosphere that will stimulate the guests spirit. Decorative elements and other details will change every day too.

The hotel is contemporary with rustic elements and a minimalist decor, that creates a relaxing and elegant atmosphere, specially designed for the upscale traveler.

GRANO DE OROBreakfast included. Private transportation to San Jose, lodging will be offered at Grano de Oro hotel or similar. Situated on a shady street just off Paseo Colon, San Jose’s main thoroughfare, Hotel Grano de Oro is a true oasis, a sanctuary in the heart of the city. Converted from a Tropical Victorian mansion, the 40-room hotel maintains the warmth and comfort of a private home.

Hallways lined with period photographs and original art meander through the building and present lush tropical flower arrangements and luxurious plants at every turn. Spanish tile fountains grace intimate atriums, ensuring that one is never far from

the soothing melody of falling water. The entire Hotel is non-smoking.
