HONEYMOON ADVENTURE ITINERARY
Our Seven days at Arenal Volcano and Manuel Antonio Beach offers an exciting combination of adventure and nature in two of the most beautiful destinations of our country, the amazing Arenal Volcano and Manuel Antonio Beach, considered one of the most beautiful National Parks in Costa Rica.
Manuel Antonio National Park is located in the Pacific coast. The park is located approximately 157 km south of San Jose. It is also 7 km south from Quepos. The park was established in November 15, 1972 with an area of 683 hectares of land and 55,000 hectares of sea. Years ago this land became a crop place which was subsequently acquired by the United Fruit Company.
This park has one of the most impressive landscapes in Costa Rica; the park has white sands and green foliage in the midst of great mountains. It has a humid tropical forest. It protects primary forest, secondary forest, mangrove, beach vegetation, marine environments and islands. The most characteristic species of flora are within the primary forest. The mangroves covers about 18 hectares, they are three species, red mangrove, white mangrove and black mangrove. It has big vegetation. It is so amazing that imagine a humid forest surrounded with beach.

Day 1: SAN JOSE B-L-D

Cuando se encuentre en San Jose, no debe perderse de visitar el inigualable Museo del Oro que alberga numerosas obras en oro de la época precolombina. Después de pasar la mañana en el Museo del Oro, la familia podrá disfrutar la tarde en el Museo de Niños o el Museo Nacional de Costa Rica. Por último, no deje de ir a un concierto en el Teatro Nacional, sede de excelentes producciones en la ciudad.
Day 2. TORTUGUERO B-L-D
Around 6:30 a.m.: We leave your hotel in San Jose early in the morning. Admire the biodiversity of an astonishing protected area in Costa Rica as we drive by Braulio Carrillo National Park, a primary forest in 95% of its extension. Have a taste of our delicious Costa Rican breakfast en route. Be our special guest in a banana processing and packing plant and learn more about one of Costa Rica’s prime products (subject to availability). Board a comfortable boat upon arrival to the port and let this extraordinarily exotic paradise enchant you, as you travel along the Tortuguero Canals. Have a one-in-a-lifetime experience in this unique place surrounded by a great variety of flora and fauna of breathtaking beauty…A refreshing cocktail and delicious lunch will welcome you to Pachira Lodge. After lunch, a visit to the museum, the beach area and the small and picturesque town of Tortuguero is included.
Day 3. TORTUGUERO B-L-D
6:30 a.m. Optional morning tour: Enjoy nature at its best as you undertake a journey through the canals, a network of navigable waterways of great scenic beauty crosses the park from southeast to northwest. The canals and marshes are the habitat of 7 species of tortoise. They also provide shelter to the endangered West Indian manatee (Trichchus manatus) and the rare crocodile (Crocodylus acutus). Back to the lodge for breakfast. Get ready to hike Tortuguero Hill or travel along the well-known Tortuguero Canals and have the experience of your life in this unique paradise of magnificent flora and fauna. After lunch, take your time to enjoy our private trails, ride a boat through the canals, swim at our turtle-shaped swimming pool, or just relax. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4. ARENAL B-L-D
9:00 a.m. breakfast and transfer by boat to Caño Blanco or La Pavona. Upon arrival a van will take you to Guapiles for lunch. Continue the trypp on a private van to the beautiful Arenal Volcano area. Lodging will be offered at a Jr. Suite, Arenal Springs hotel.

The swimming pool is also surrounded by lovely gardens, offering its guest a most impressive view to the Volcano. The swimming pool is also Handicap friendly, allowing handicapped guests the pleasure of emerging themselves in to lovely pool.
Around 6:30 p.m. get prepared to relax at the natural Tabacon hotsprings where you will enjoy 4 hours at the swimming pools and a delicious typical dinner. Back to your hotel later today around 9:00 p.m.
Day 5 White Water RAfting or Pure Trek Canyoning
White Water Rafting Toro River, class III/IV
Join us for a great day of rafting! Set deep in the Costa Rican rain forests and fed by waters from the Poas volcano, the Toro river winds 13Km (about 9 miles) through the canyon filled with dramatic scenery and heart pumping excitement. The Toro River offers some of Costa Rica’s best white water with big waves, technical rapids and continuous whitewater.
Our journey begins with a 1 hr scenic drive through the Eastern portion of central Costa Rica through the beautiful pineapple, papaya and yucca fields with Volcano Arenal set in the backdrop. Once we reach our destination, our trained/skilled guides will review the rules and safety guidelines for the river to familiarize yourself with your job as paddlers.
Then we will take the PLUNGE and head down river. We will enjoy the spectacular scenery and a thrilling ride. Halfway through our journey we will “refuel” on the river bank and enjoy some delicious tropical fruit while soaking in the tropical surroundings. At the end of our journey, a cold drink and dry towel will await you before a short ride where you can change into dry clothes and have a delicious Typical Costa Rican lunch.

PURE TREK CANYONING
Your trip begins with a 30-minute 4×4 drive into the tropical rainforest outside the town of La Fortuna, in the shadow of the Arenal Volcano.
From the first waterfall we will rappel down from the top into the beautiful and pristine canyon below. The adventure includes four rappels, three of which are along waterfalls, and one dry rock face. Then just a short trek out of the canyon, jump in the vehicles and head back to the base camp.
We have two tours a day, 7:00AM and 12:00PM. Both tours include lunch at our baRappel down some of the most dramatic waterfalls in Costa Rica and into a canyon that reminds us of something out of the movie Lord of the Rings! See tropical birds, monkeys and thousands of different kinds of plants and flowers. You do not need experience and this tour is kid friendly.se camp and snacks in the canyon.

6:00 P.M. Get prepared for four relaxing hours at Tabacon Hotsprings and a delicious dinner. Back to your hotel for overnight.
Day 6. MANUEL ANTONIO
After a rich and delicious breakfast in the hotels’ restaurant, you will be picked up and taken to the the Central Pacific zone of Costa Rica, directly to Manuel Antonio area where you will stay 4 nights, 5 days at a deluxe room of Cozy La Mansion Inn.
La Mansión Inn is situated on a mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio National Park.
The Inn is just minutes away from pristine beaches, sport fishing at Quepos harbour, and the local airport.

Day 7: MANUEL ANTONIO
Delicious Breakfast Today you will enjoy an exciting guided hiking tour at the Manuel Antonio National Park.
Transportation provided by the tour operator will pick you up at your hotel from where you will start your ride to Manuel Antonio National Park. This national park is one of the most famous in our country due to its wide variety of flora and fauna specimens. The park itself boasts 3 different trails that vary in grade from flat to very steep. On this Manuel Antonio tour you will be accompanied by a nature guide who is knowledgeable about everything you will see. The trail you will take is flat and picturesque and loops through the park making your course approximately 2 miles long. Throughout the hike your guide will stop and explain the different nature specimens that can be observed, you can take photographs or just admire the view. One of the highlights of this Manuel Antonio tour is that the park is home to 3 of the 4 existing monkey species in Costa Rica. Half way through the hike you will make leisure stop at the third beach located within the national park. You will have approximately 20 minutes to rest on the beach or play among the waves if you so choose. Throughout the hike you will be able to observe sloth’s, birds and reptiles as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees. The guides that accompany you on this Manuel Antonio Trip are equipped with Pen tax and Svarowski telescopes that you can use to observe wildlife and take pictures
with a different perspective. Upon finishing the tour you will be provided with transportation back to your hotel. The park is closed on Mondays.
Day 8. OCEAN KAYAK TOUR
Breakfast included. This Manuel Antonio tour is the perfect choice for those interested in getting wet and seeing nature! Transportation will be provided to pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the local Quepos dock. You will kayak for approximately 2 ½ hours (roundtrip), during your journey you will paddle past islands and inlets where you can observe and admire numerous marine aviary species and their nesting grounds. Partway through your route you will stop at a beautiful hidden bay to rest and enjoy a refreshing snack. You can take advantage of the 30 minute pit stop to snorkel on this secluded coastline that goes by the name of Bisanz beach. Water visibility varies depending on the season. You are most likely to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish and if you are lucky a sea turtle or two! This challenging Manuel Antonio tours allows you to discover the stunning examples of nature both above and below the ocean’s surface; from pelicans to flying fish, you can see it all! Upon returning to the dock, head back to base camp to enjoy a little conversation over a delicious homemade meal. Transportation will be provided to
return you to your hotel. Kayaks are available in 1 passenger and 2 passenger format. Kids must be at least 8 years old to paddle alone. Sea kayaking is much easier than river kayaking, this Manuel Antonio tour does not require previous experience.
